Zerayd

The Zerayd was a Galor-class warship built and commandeered out of spacedock in 2375 during the Dominion War by the combined Cardassian-Starfleet rebel group, the Thirteenth Order. The Zerayd has multiple Dominion upgrades in its defensive capabilities, to include upgraded sensors, transporters, shields, and structural reinforcements. Due to Dominion mistrust, however, its offensive weaponry remains standard Cardassian technology. (Star Trek: Sigils and Unions--The Thirteenth Order)

The Zerayd was named, indirectly, after Aurelian Ensign Ngaer, a Thirteenth Order member who sacrificed herself on Lessek to take out a Jem'Hadar polaron cannon position; the zerayd is a Cardassian animal that vaguely resembles a black-feathered Aurelian. The originator of the name was Glinn Daro, who hoped that even if the Zerayd survived to be absorbed into the regular Cardassian Guard fleet, the ship would retain its name and its tribute to Ngaer's voluntary sacrifice.

The first acting commander of the Zerayd is Glinn Bezerok Hatel, who had been until that moment the first officer of the Ghiletz under Gul Surtak Speros.
