Admiral Zahara Hogan is the commanding officer of Deep Space 4 and sector commander of the areas around the Typhon Expanse.

Zahara Hogan was commanding officer of the USS Christchurch, with then-Commander Noel Turner.

In 2372, Hogan ordered the USS Cantabrian to rendezvous with the USS Hastings at Altok III before progressing to a gathering fleet at Canaileus Prime. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Catalyst, Part One")

While she sympathized with the predicament Turner was under in turning Dakota Caldwell over to the Lelari to face trial, Hogan carried out orders from her superior officers by ordering Turner to deliver his chief linguistics officer to the Lelari. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Dakota")

I had the honor of serving under then-Captain Zahara Hogan as her executive officer aboard the USS Christchurch.

Admiral Zahara Hogan seems different from the standard Starfleet admiral. Despite some captains having an adversarial relationship with admirals, many captains under Admiral Hogan's command maintain a strong working relationship with her. Having served with her over a period of several years, I hold a deeper understanding of Admiral Hogan, her reasoning, and her personality.

Admiral Hogan remains committed to Starfleet and assisting officers under her command as best as possible.
