Women's Dark Frontier is the third episode of the second RIS Bouteina season.
While Annika reminisces about the World of Warcraft duel in the prison camp, Vox'ula picks up some garbled transmission, telling them they have succeeded to reach warp 5, saying that it was the fastest they could fly at. They mention something called the Nemausus Kortari in their own language. Upon looking at the people making the hail, Mizarh mentioned that this species was like Bowsers, although the captain of the unknown ship proceed to describe the inhabitants of ISC Prime. Their hail ended in a request to process their application for ISC membership.
Neleras had an idea for an away mission. For this, they had to pretend they were ISC inspectors from the first contact office. As he forms an away team, Neleras beams down on a rocky, dry planet, whereas Annika has assured the authorities of the new race that their application will be processed and the captain revealed her species as Abudonni and her planet as Valgipus IV. En route to the closest city, as T'Val has detected something through his tricorder, Taev reads a stray newspaper article about a newly released book and he was shocked that the locals didn't treat women like even Romulans did. On the ship, though, Annika looks into WoW's early history.
As Annika studied WoW history, Vox'ula informs her that she missed an hail. The hail gave her rendezvous at the Azoth Library, asking Annika to bring cultural items. On the surface, the away team walks for hours through the rocky vista and when they arrived at the city indicated by the tricorder, they ask random people out on the street under their ISC guise. These talks confirm what was previously suspected: females of that species were much smarter than males. Annika and Rihanna asked the Bajoran sculptor to carve something out of a wooden block. With the Rakelli dress she wears, Annika looked like a Q'Naabian.
Four hours, the away team got lost in the city, running around in circles. Once they find their way back, they go ask women if they could confirm anything. These females answer that there has been no hate crime for the last 18 years. They pitched camp, but only got one hour of sleep because of their location on the planet. Once he awakens, Taev asks Putal to beam down for astronomical reasons. Annika and the Triple-E Senates go on the makeshift stage of the library, then they got some crucial answers for their "mission": their year lasts 1,000 local days and their problems of sexes is caused by a chromosomic problem.
