Walker Keel

Walker Keel was a Federation Starfleet officer on active duty in the 24th century.

Keel was an old friend of both Jean-Luc Picard and Jack Crusher. As Beverly Howard's parents had died many years ago, it was Keel who gave her away during her wedding to Crusher in 2348. ("4th and Market")

During the first year of Picard's command of the Galaxy-class USS Enterprise-D, Keel sent Picard a Code 47-tagged subspace transmission to summon him and other line officers he trusted to a clandestine meeting on Dytallix-B. (TNG: "Conspiracy")

Later, USS Horatio was destroyed under mysterious circumstances. All aboard were lost, including Captain Keel. ("Conspiracy")
