[edit] My own
From Homesun- Sneg leave me alone, they are my own articles and you shouldn't mess with them. Or I will pull you off. --Homesun 18:45, January 1, 2007 (UTC) (signature added by SNEG based off page history)
- First off, it's a community wiki. We can edit them if we want to. Second of all, what the hell does "pull you off" mean? --Kevin W. Adm•Tlk 22:50, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Whatever it is, it definitely seems to be a threat... I think we've suffered this fool long enough. --TimPendragon 22:57, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Pull me off? Well at least he knows how to use other people's Talk pages (even though he doesn't use the ones for articles or his own). Homesun - if you're reading this, I've supported your (lack of) style to give you the chance to be productive here. That time is slowly drawing to a close. --

Hi thanks for keeping my Articles alive sorry about misspelling chakotay also any suggestions for improving the articles on STAG would be welcome--Aranittara 02:37, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you
Hey Sneg, I can't find your email address (okay, I need to figure that one out) so I just wanted to say re: the arguments that have been occurring (and I was trying to calm them down) that I agree with your actions 100%. Thanks, because I agree that we should be working constructively together -- isn't that the whole point of Star Trek? -- despite our differences to advance one totally awesome wikia to the next level. Peace from New Zealand -- usscantabrian 07:55, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you also for your previous email to me Sneg, i found it gave me a very helpful starting point with which to continue from.
- I'm sorry I had to send such a negative reply. -- Captain M.K.B. 21:32, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Previous Quote of the Month" page
Sneg. I made a prototype page on my talk page with the Dec '06 and current quote if you wanna copy it to save yourself some work or adapt it for the actual page go ahead. --Logan MacLeod 05:59, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks that will save me a little work. Setting the pages up now. --

[edit] Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
Is Star Trek: Starfleet Academy going to be deleted unless I create an account? --67.170.207.109 17:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Just a heads up, Sneg. That's Captain Zman talking. --TimPendragon 17:31, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- As far as I'm concerned.... YES - being an unregistered user isn't going endear me to you. STEU has no problem with unregistered users doing minor changes but if you plan on never establishing an account, I can guarantee to you that the admins here will be discussing the future of unregistered users doing major edits. (and if this is a sock puppet account I can promise that 90%-100% will be reverted and you'll be receiving a very long ban, if not permanent.) --

[edit] sig
Hey Sneg, I turned your sig into a template. If you substitute it in your preferences, it should reduce clutter in the edit-fields on talk pages (and then, if you ever want to change it, it'll show up automatically). All you should have to do is put {{SUBST:sneg}} in your nickname field, w/raw sigs checked. If you decide to use it and it doesn't work, let me know; I have a fix. – Sasoriza Adm • Tlk 04:27, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay cool. Been meaning to do that but just haven't gotten around to it. --

[edit] Re: Template:Episode
Show me where you're trying to use it--or where it comes up dark. It looks fine to me: white, w/a blue hover effect. Are you still using Netscape? If so, that's probably why it comes up dark. – Sasoriza Adm • Tlk 21:58, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Character template
Same thing I posted on Sasoriza's page: I'm working on the new, unified character template. Here's what I've got so far. I was wondering if you could help me out and see if I've got all of the coding right, because as you can see at first glance, there's something wrong. However, I can't figure out what it is, so I was wondering if you could help me. Thanks. --Kevin W. Adm•Tlk 17:53, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Farragut page info
Sneg, I'm the webmaster over at farragut. I'll be trying to update the pages for our show and characters as much as possible. Thanks for the character template. I'll be working on getting all of our character bios up to speed and in accordance with that template over the next few days.
If I do something wrong, or screw something up, let me know! I'm relatively new to the wiki scene.Transporter Chief 06:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] bouncing czechs
I made all the changes I think need to be made to maintain site integrity and restored any damage to formatting, assuming its all misunderstanding. -- Captain M.K.B. 18:16, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- This user seems to be suggesting we switch starship templates to an earlier format i had actually been in the process of removing.
- I think that he has displayed good faith in wanting to add info to the database, but I'm not sure I can be point person for him to discuss it with -- I'm not very involved here lately, and i can't understand a damn thing he types! -- Captain M.K.B. 21:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not fully sure what he's saying either. :-) I just asked you since you had the "master plan" (big picture plan) when it came to starship stuff. --
Sneg Admin•Talk 22:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've done anything I can to format his stuff accordig to my plan, but if others want to change the system, its of course part of the wiki. However, i'm against his changes that break links and change the correct [[USS Xxx (NCC-XXX)]] formatting of the filenames. -- Captain M.K.B. 22:29, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- True. But I think the community will stand behind what you set up (unless there is some radical layout that improves upon your work) --23:23, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User of the month
If he hasn't been nominated for user of the month I think its an oversight and would like to nominate Kevin for user of the month. My reasoning is that he has created several "reference articles" (i.e. many of the various medals and rank pages) that are an exellent resources for us here. --22:05, April 4, 2007 Logan MacLeod (signature added by Sneg based on edit history)
- Agreed, I wouldn't know a thing about Starfleet ranks if it weren't for those articles, he definatly deserves the spot. --The NCC Factor Talk 11:54, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Okay your suggestion has been "noted" :-) Everyone will have to wait till next month to find out... --
Sneg Admin•Talk 00:41, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- I was wondering, is there actually a system for nominating a user or is it just chosen when the new month begins? --The NCC Factor Talk 10:29, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ticker
It's better, after the bypasses, but I'm still in the long process of recuperating... meaning it's pretty painful at times. (Much of which I spend drugged out/sleeping on pain meds.) My main problem now is, I've caught pneumonia (more meds, yay); plus I have to avoid stress (yeah, and look where I'm at), cholesterol, sodium and fatty foods (no more drive-thrus). Plus they tell me I may never be able to work again. Gack! Don't know how my poor ticker's supposed to withstand all of that... but I'm trying to keep a good attitude. The real downer is, you'd think I have more time for writing... but I'm experiencing one heck of a writer's block.
Heck. Gotta go. My wife's grandmother just passed away. – Sasoriza Adm • Tlk 13:42, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ouch - well the important thing is you're doing better. I only had some teeth pulled the other day. :-) --

[edit] Account
Hi; I saw your message here and was about to create an account, but it says the desired name, "DanPMK", is already in use. I checked and that account has neither a user page nor any contributions. Would it be possible, if that account is very very old, to allow the name for re-use? 69.182.79.35 13:09, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I see, the user database is linked with Memory Alpha. Awesome, I got my username. MK 02:19, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Just an FYI
Just a little FYI for clarity's sake (per Sandeen/Aranittara's userpage):
For "captcha", see Wikipedia:CAPTCHA.
I changed my username from sasorizaa1 to Sasoriza because, originally, I wanted it to be "Sasoriza", but for some reason (similar to MK's problem above) the software wouldn't allow it. Around Sept. of last year I decided to try again on a lark. I've been using Sasoriza ever since. – Sasoriza Adm • Tlk 20:10, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Curious...
Hey Sneg, just curious why you reverted this? Couldn't see what was wrong with the previous version. (If you'd rather not discuss it here, feel free to email me.)
BTW, I'm keeping an eye on the MP, aware it's almost that time of the month again. – Sasoriza Adm • Tlk 13:21, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- If I remember correctly - it was a nomination for a quote that was made by someone not logged in. Figured - if you can't/won't log in, why should you be able to nominate a quote of the month? I don't think I was too off base with that call but if others feel differently... --

[edit] Thank you
I did not know about the 'talk' page... I am NEW to this wiki stuff, I only stumbled on it yesterday (didn't even know it was here) and thought OH COOL! I am learning about it, didn't see the tutorial until I checked my email and found that AFTER I had already started adding info about our group. I apologize that I didn't see that, but really, I would have appreciated the help not the insults I got when in my hurry I made a misspelling. Really childish I thought... (I am 45 and do NOT need to be treated like an idiot. I have run groups on yahoo and have done a lot of html...I just needed a little direction in here, not put downs or someone doing my work for me.) Just TELL me what you want, and I'll do (as I asked)... don't do it for me. I would really appreciate that. I have looked around on other pages and I thought I had done a very good job, even using some of the templates/ideas that were placed there by Sas, and then they then got changed by him. Sort of like...hello? He put one thing in, and when I used it several times, he changed it again. I don't get that part. And what's with re-editing and moving around the wording? I really do not want the quote to be the first thing that is read on the page, yet Sas put that first. If I move it back to where I had it, will he move it again? Is there some reason for that? I have not noticed the quote at the top of the page of other fanfics. Now that I know about the tutorial (helps when I read my emails! LOL) and the talk page, I will do better. OH, and does Sas have to jump on things so quickly? I had not had the page up three minutes when he tagged it. I was still working on it after all, couldn't he wait a bit before tagging it for editing? It was really ... how shall I say this... frustrating to me, to not even be given the opportunity to do my own corrections and changes before someone was criticizing it. I realize that sounds a bit whiney, but it did put me on the defensive, and in a very foul mood. Thanks for your help As you can see by the editing, I didn't know how to sign my name, I do now. Thank you!

[edit] would you please...
Check the page again and see what you think? I have added a few more things, and after double checking the manual on quotes, do not see anything that says the quote has to be in a certain spot. I moved it back to where I wanted it, so unless there is some reason it needs to be at the top of the page that is not listed somewhere, let me know and I'll move it, otherwise I would like it to stay where it is.
Thanks Andromedakay 18:11, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fanfic Writing
I was planning to write my fanfic on the wiki but when I started typing saz removed and said it was forbidden--Aranittara 12:47, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- That would be because it's forbidden. This wiki is for encyclopedia articles ABOUT fanfiction, not the fics themselves. --Autumn 13:18, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] HELP!!!
I tried to change the picture on my page and it's too big and it won't resize for me, and everything I do...screws it up...ugh... I'm sorry, I'm a klutz at that part!!! Could you explain to me what I am doing wrong? Andromedakay Andromedakay 11:06, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. It looks like someone has fixed it for you already. --

[edit] Re: being away
Sorry guys... been super busy. The TV Production company has really taken off. I film 9-11 shows a week! Next week I have a very cool shoot. I'm going to be "embeded" with a couple SWAT teams for a training exercise and will be filming an "active shooter" scenario. --

[edit] Rift Fleet Hailing
It seems that you must be a High Ranking Officer here so I'll be quick. I am starting (Beginning) my own fanon adventure (look at my user page for details). Is thier a size limit to make things interesting? Also since you work for a Cable Station have you heard anything about the Animated Star Trek series, not the old one but the new one that is coming out? Rift Fleet 16:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
