Lawrence Kelley, a former career Starfleet Officer spent most of his life exploring the Federation or defending it from one threat or another.
Christa Parker, a former Starfleet Science Officer, spent most of her life studying many different kinds of artifacts from different worlds that her ship went to explore.
Christa Parker, was studying an ancient looking artifact in her science lab in 2297, when the artifact began glowing momentarily taking control of her keeping her in contact with it long enough for the glowing force inside the artifact to surge into her. The sudden contact with the force inside of the artifact, caused Lt. Christa Parker to pass out in the lab, she was later found by another crewmember and she was promptly transported to sickbay for a full physical to determine the cause of her passing out. Her recount of the incident to her commanding officer was not supported by the doctor's examination, but a few weeks later, it was when it was learned that she was pregnant.
As starships were still not designed for families, she transferred back to Earth so she could have her child, which tests revealed to be of her DNA and an unidentified type of DNA.
In 2298, Christa Parker, gave birth to a healthy human baby boy to which she named Jason Andrew Parker. That same year brought the Parker family in touch with Commander Lawrence Kelley, a strong-commanding person that befriended the young mother and her infant child.
In 2299, Commander Lawrence Kelley was married to Lt. Christa Parker, and he officially adopted her son as his child giving young Jason his last name of "Kelley".
Since Jason was barely three years old, Christa knew and could somehow feel that he was going to be very different from other children that he would be growing up on Earth. Knowing that the Federation accepted these things from other races, they were a little slow on accepting them in humans; an irrational fear dating back to the genetic experiments done on humans prior to the third world war.
In 2307, it was decided for the good of their child that, nine year old Jason be transferred to a school specializing in mentally gifted children; he could learn better how to focus and use his budding abilities and even more to control them. A school found on the planet Vulcan was where nine year old Jason spent the next seven years, continuing his education as well as learning how to control and focus his abilities. The elders at the Vulcan school were impressed in his abilities, seeking to help him further with becoming more attune to them, they offered a chance for him stay at the school longer; he declined, informing them that he was going to follow his parents into Starfleet.
In 2314, Jason’s parents, Captain Lawrence & Commander Christa Kelley, went to Starfleet Academy with their son, to see him off on his career, one that they were proud of him for choosing.
In 2339, Jason Kelley received his assignment to the USS Yamaguchi NCC-26510 as the ship's Executive Officer
In 2340, Commander Christa Rene Parker - Kelley, was assigned duties aboard the Ambassador Class Starship: USS Enterprise NCC-1701-C as a Mission Specialist Science Officer.
In 2341, Starfleet Command confirmed that Commander Jason Kelley was to accept the full command of the USS Yamaguchi after the death of his Commanding Officer; with a promotion to Captain.
In 2344, the Starship Enterprise-C responded to the distress call from the Klingon Outpost of Narendra III, stating that they were under attack by four Romulan Warbirds. A message from the Klingon Empire to the Federation stated that the Enterprise-C had been lost at the Narendra III outpost; no survivors were found by the Klingon reinforcements.
During that same year, Captain Jason Kelley took command of the USS Ambassador NX-10521; he had been given this command when he nominated his Executive Officer to take over the command of the USS Yamaguchi upon the completion of the ship's refitting.
In 2346, a report of a Starfleet Officer being held captive by the Romulans matching the description of Commander Christa Kelley sent retired Captain Lawrence Kelley into Romulan Space, under disguise to locate his beloved wife. A report from a reliable source on Romulus informed Starfleet Intelligence that both (Lawrence and Christa Kelley) were killed while trying to escape back to Federation Space. Starfleet Medical sent a Chaplin and counselor to speak with Jason aboard the Starship Ambassador; they were surprised to find him not surprised by their deaths.
In 2355, Starfleet Engineering dispatched a team of Mission Specialist in the field of Warp-Plasma Mechanics & Theoretical Design, to the USS Ambassador; it was here that the team of engineers worked to improve the warp field and matter/antimatter output in an attempt to test the theory behind the new specs for the Galaxy Class coming out. Among the Warp Field Specialist assigned to the USS Ambassador were Lieutenant J.G. Jordana Lynn Hall and Dr. Leah Brahms.
While Dr. Brahms felt the testing on the Ambassador’s Engines were not necessary, the practical testing of the concepts and theories behind the new Galaxy Class Starship’s Warp Drive was invaluable to the team of specialist performing the tests on the USS Ambassador.
During the time that Lieutenant J.G. Hall spent aboard the USS Ambassador, she knew that she felt something for the ship’s Commanding Officer – Captain Jason Kelley. She shied away from the feelings that she felt for the much older officer; but neither her attempts to refrain from becoming emotionally involved with Captain Kelley nor the Captain’s own attempts to do the same, did not succeed. For more than a year, the two officers, saw each other, socially, something that was unusual for the crew to see; as they were used to not seeing the Captain paying this kind of attention to a woman.
In 2356, career Starfleet Officer - Captain Jason Kelley of the USS Ambassador, marries Warp Plasma Mission Specialist - Lieutenant Jordana Lynn Hall; the service is performed by Captain J.P. Hanson of the USS Bill of Right NCC-2010.
In 2357, Jake Kelley is born to the parents of William and Jordana Kelley, a good resemblance of Jason when he was born.
In 2359, Alexandra Kelley is born to the parents of William and Jordana Kelley; her looks seem to take after her mother when she had been born.
In 2363, Captain Jason Kelley moved his family back to Earth where he accepted the position with Starfleet Intelligence: Special Operations Division. While his family was concerned about his well-being and safe return back home, they supported him in his new position with Special Ops.
In 2364, on one of his rare visits home to Earth, Captain Jason Kelley and his family attended the launching ceremony of the magnificent USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, Galaxy Class Starship, the fifth starship to bare this name.
Later that same year, Starfleet dispatched Lieutenant Jordana Kelley to the USS Yamaguchi with other engineers to assist the ship’s crew in restoring the ship’s power to get her under away and to the nearest Starbase for repairs. With the ship’s main systems offline after previous attack, the USS Yamaguchi was boarded and fell under attack on the inside by hostile attempting to take control of the ship.
Starfleet received a partial message from the destroyed Starfleet Transport, Starfleet dispatched reinforcements to the site of the USS Yamaguchi; one such ship that responded to the distress call was the USS Kennedy, heavily modified Soyuz II Class Light Cruiser, aboard the Kennedy was Captain Jason Kelley coming back from a mission when the call from the transport was sent out. The efforts of the crew of the USS Kennedy and the Special Ops team aboard helped to secure the USS Yamaguchi long enough until the rest of the reinforcements had arrived on the scene.
Lieutenant Jordana Kelley was found in Main Engineering badly injured, with a lot of dead hostiles around her; the team of investigators concluded that she had been injured in the line of duty trying to protect her area of the ship from being taken over.
In 2365, Captain Jason Kelley was given the assignment of the USS Forrestal NCC-71859, Galaxy Class Starship; to which he took his family from Earth to his new command (a family ship).
During the Borg invasion into Federation Space in 2366 / 2367, Captain Jason Kelley was monitoring the situation closely and kept bringing his ship closer to the area that he guessed would be the final battle between the Federation fleet and the Borg cube ship with Captain Jean-Luc Picard on board.
When the word went out for all available ships to meet at Wolf 359 to engage the Borg there, Captain Kelley ordered his ship, the USS Forrestal to head for the battle site too. At this time, the ship hit a previously unregistered spatial / temporal anomaly that with the combined power of the ship heading to the battle site at warp 9.996; shot the ship out of the known galaxy and dropped into a galaxy far away from their galaxy.
From 2367 to 2380, the crew of the USS Forrestal fought in a ruthless war for the next thirteen years; between the Jedi and the Sith. During this time, seeing the need of learning from the Jedi Masters, Captain Kelley worked to defend the Jedi and the Galactic Republic to which they served. Several of his crew chose to learn the ways of the Jedi, including both of his children (Jake and Alexandra), plus his wife: Lieutenant-Commander Jordana Kelley.
In 2369, the USS Forrestal was boarded by hostiles; the bridge was under direct attack as were several other decks including the decks where families lived. Jordana Kelley had gone to her children when the battle had started and fought to save them and others on that deck, using some of her new found skills through her training to become a Jedi like her husband. There was too many of them, she was eventually killed and she watched as her children fought with their training lightsabers to fend off the attacking force against them.
After the invasion had been repelled from the USS Forrestal, Captain Kelley, found his wife and children dead with hostiles closing in on their positions until they had been over-ran. With his own injures from the battle, the pain pushed aside, he knelt at beside them wanting so much to exact revenge on the people who had killed his wife and children; but he simply couldn’t bring himself to do it, no matter how much he wanted to.
In 2372, Captain Kelley found the secret plans for refitting the USS Forrestal using the resources that they had at their disposal in this galaxy. After carefully reading the work of his brilliant wife, he found that some of the notations made in the files that he read, had been suggested by his their son – Jake.
Later that same year, he put the USS Forrestal in dry-dock for the refitting of his ship and following the plans of his late wife, he had the ship completely refitted and ready to be launched in twenty-four months. He knew that using a regular Starfleet operated dry-dock, the time would have been cut down to about eighteen months; but he took what he could get at this time and the ship was launched in the early part of 2375.
In 2380, the USS Forrestal was heading to the site of a major battle, using the ship’s powerful engines, the ship was en route to a distress call when they were confronted by another anomaly of the same order that had dropped them in the current galaxy and the war that they had been in the middle of for the last thirteen years.
The anomaly’s strength shot the ship back to the Alpha Quadrant, Federation Space to almost the same exact location where they had disappeared from thirteen years ago. After getting confirmation of their location, the ship proceeded to Sector 001: Terran Solar System; which had been designated as the final place to stop the Borg if they broke through the defenses at Wolf 359.
It was with great surprise when the long range sensors of Starfleet’s orbital Spacedock detected the fast approaching starship. An even greater surprise came when Starfleet discovered the identity of the ship coming home, as the USS Forrestal (greatly modified). The ship was put into dry-dock at McKinnley Station in orbit around Earth for a complete inspection of the ship’s hull and systems by Starfleet Engineers and Science Teams. During this time, the crew underwent an intensive investigation and inquiry into their actions and event during their time in the other galaxy. The investigation and inquiry focused heavily on the decision of the ship’s command crew and particularly the Commanding Officer – Captain Jason Kelley. Among those on the board of inquiry was Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway; who lended her vast experiences during her time away from the Federation lost in the Delta Quadrant.
In 2381, the actions of the crew and officers of the USS Forrestal were deemed appropriate under the circumstances as had been detailed in the after action reports filed by the crew and officers. Captain Jason Kelley was later assigned the task of overseeing the complete overhaul and refitting of his ship, using Starfleet technology to supplement the alien technology that they had used to keep the ship operating when damaged. The more compatible Starfleet technology worked far better in the modified USS Forrestal than the alien technology that had been used.
In 2382, the ship’s overhaul and refitting had been completed, installing the latest warp cores (4) in the ship, the phaser cannon under the saucer section, the pulse phaser cannons on top of the saucer section, a third warp nacelle and many other modifications
