The USS Zimmerman (NCC-65112) was a Nebula-class explorer in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. In the 2370s, the Zimmerman was commanded by Captain Gregory Hodges. (Star Trek: Daedalus)
In late 2372, Lieutenant Commander Siram Elbry was assigned to the Zimmerman as counselor after her predecessor was killed during a Klingon attack on the ship.
Following the outbreak of the Dominion War in 2373, the Zimmerman was assigned to the Ninth Fleet, which operated in the Bajoran sector.
In early 2375, the Zimmerman was one of six Federation starships to accompany the USS Defiant to the Kalandra sector to await the arrival of General Martok's IKS Rotarran and several other birds-of-prey after they mounted a "cavalry raid" on Trelka V.
While three of the five birds-of-prey made it back, they were quickly followed by a task force of Jem'Hadar attack ships. Fortunately, the combined Federation Alliance task force was able to overcome the assault, but the Zimmerman suffered significant damage after a Jem'Hadar attack ship made a suicide run and struck the ship's sensor pod.
