BackgroundEdit

The name of the Yagami is taken from the Yagami family from the popular Death Note manga, anime and film franchise (more specifically Soichiro Yagami, a noted law-enforcement official in the franchise). (This could be construed as another instance of Omega Force author William Raymer's love of the Japanese TV series Iron Chef, as the "Chairman" on the series, Takeshi Kaga, played "Soichiro Yagami" in the Death Note film series.)
