USS Soyuz (NCC-1840) was the lead ship and prototype of the Soyuz-class tactical frigates. It was active in Starfleet through at least 2292.
- NCC-1840 was derived from Alex Rosenzweig's NCC registries listings. Jackill's Starfleet Reference Manual: Ships of the Fleet, vol. 1, 2006 revision, had the registry as NCC-1942. Orion Press has its registry as NCC-1930.
