The USS Odyssey (NCC-71832-A) was a Galaxy-class starship serving in the Federation Starfleet during the late 24th century. The ship was launched in 2386 as a replacement for the previous Odyssey, lost to the Dominion in 2370. The USS Odyssey-A was part of a second generation wave of Galaxy-class starships commissioned to bulk the heavy forces of Starfleet after the losses during the early 2380s border wars and the various Borg invasions. The cost and time in building the more advanced Sovereign-class starships proved too much for the Admiralty, and the Odyssey, along with several sister ships were built. They are slightly refitted from the stock-Galaxy design, with more weapons systems. The Odyssey also has a salvaged Fen Domar Transwarp drive installed into it's engines. (Star Trek: Unity)
