The USS Hawk (NCC-63298) was a Federation Akira-class heavy cruiser that saw service during the 24th century. In mid-2374, the Hawk reinforced Starfleet Task Force 59. It was part of Cruiser wing Two. (Star Trek: Swiftfire)
Prior to the First Battle of Chin'toka the captain of the Hawk was transferred to a new command, which included command of an entire tactical wing. This transfer saw the Hawk replaced as the lead vessel of the second cruiser wing by the USS Swiftfire-A. ("Section 214C")
In late 2374, the Hawk took part in the defence of the crippled starliner, Fairstar. It was deployed below the larger civilian vessel but was unable to destroy any of the attacking Jem'Hadar attack ships. ("Waiting for the Sun")
