The USS Chekov (NCC-53702) was a Springfield-class light frigate that saw service with the Federation Starfleet during the 24th century.

Nomenclature[]
The ship was named after Pavel Chekov. As vessels, either wet-navy or starfaring, are rarely named after the living, it seems probable that Chekov was already dead in the Primeverse when this vessel was commissioned.
