The USS Brunel (NCC-61889) was a Saber-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century. The Brunel was one of several ships assigned to the Starfleet Corps of Engineers during the 2370s. In 2374 the ship was commanded by Captain Geiring. (Star Trek: The Adventures of Argus)

In 2374 the Brunel accompanied the USS Argus to it's rendezvous with the Seventh Fleet in the Tyra system only to find the fleet decimated. Engineers from the Brunel were instrumental in salvaging the USS Monitor during the search and rescue mission that followed. (Star Trek: The Adventures of Argus: "Trial By Fire")

Named for the famed British Engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
