The USS Astura (NCC-1011) was the second Akyazi-class Federation perimeter action starship in Starfleet service in the late 23rd century. Astura was laid down at Carina Design and Construction at Tanami Spacebridge in Australia, on Earth, on 5 September 2284, launched 19 February 2286 and commissioned to TacFleet service on 22 November 2286.
