The USS Angelfire (NCC-75025) was a modified Federation Sovereign-class explorer in service in the late 24th century. (Star Trek: Hidden Frontier)
History[]
On Stardate 60423.8, the Angelfire conducted a search and rescue operation for the USS Independence. After several hours on station, she found debris from several colony ships and the broken hulk of Independence in an area near Tholian held space. Angelfire recovered the remaining survivors of the Independence and the cruiser SS Sheehan, but not before Independence commanding officer, Rear admiral Jennifer Cole, and several others from the Sheehan, died. Background information[]
- The USS Angelfire was based on a real life chapter of the Starfleet International Fan Association (SFI), that was chartered in the city of Phoenix, AZ. The cast and crew of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier added the chapter's titular ship to the program as a "thank you" for the years of service members of the chapter gave to the program. The chapter's CO, John Nelson (who also portrayed the Cardassian Ambassador and Obsidian Order agent Gul Malek in several episodes) was shown on screen portraying Colonel Nelson during the wedding scene for the final episode of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier, "Its Hour Come Round At Last").
