The USS Aldebaran was a Federation Nebula-class explorer starship in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. During the 2370s, the Aldebaran was under the command of Captain Robison.
In early 2376, the Aldebaran was assigned as a support vessel for Deep Space 9 while the station and the USS Defiant was receiving much needed systems upgrades. A few days into its assignment, a trio of rogue Jem'Hadar attack ships exited the Bajoran wormhole and began attacking DS9 and the Aldebaran in the hopes of re-igniting the Dominion War. Unfortunately, the Aldebaran was swiftly destroyed in the attack, although several crewmembers who were taking shore leave on DS9 survived. (DS9 novels: Avatar; Star Trek: Daedalus)
