The USS Ajax (NCC-11574) was a Federation Apollo-class light cruiser that saw service during the 24th century.
During the Federation blockade of the Klingon-Romulan border in 2368 the Ajax was deployed so to link the USS Enterprise-D, USS Hood and USS Tian An Men in the tachyon detection grid. When the Romulans attempted to breach the grid the task force was forced to retreat to Gamma Eridon. (TNG: "Redemption, Part II")
In 2376, the Ajax was one of sixteen Starfleet vessels present in the Sol system at the start of the Battle of Sol. During the battle the Ajax was destroyed after been struck by debris from the destruction of a Vendoth dreadnaught. (Star Trek: Unity: "United We Stand - Together")
