Turbo-lasers are relatively powerful pulse weapons used on starship-sized vessels. Although not as powerful as phasers or torpedoes, turbo-lasers are good at disabling or destroying shuttles, fighters and missiles. Turbo-lasers are standard weapons in Missile Defence, and are fired out of 'banks'. (Star Trek: Unity)
Starstreak-class freighters were equipped with a double-barreled turbolaser bank. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Structural Unemployment")
