The Ticonderoga-class fast patrol vessel was active in Starfleet service beginning in the mid-24th century.
- A 2006 revision of Jackill's Starfleet Reference Manual: Ships of the Fleet, vol. 1 designates this the Saratoga-class strategic frigate. Perhaps this is the Ticonderoga class' name in an alternate timeline.
Derived from the Miranda-class, Ticonderogas lacked the rollbar but had two fixed type-3 pulse phaser cannons mounted at port and starboard, where the warp nacelle pylons joined the hull. USS Saratoga was a Ticonderoga-class starship. The USS French was a Ticonderoga-class vessel serving on the front lines during the Dominion War. Three unnamed Ticonderoga-class vessels modified to be freighters were part of a convoy to Rura Penthe shortly after the Dominion War.
