The Beatles were a mid-20th century band from the English community of Liverpool. They are considered to be one of the most successful acts of their time. The band's lineup during their most successful period consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

The band's music remained influential into the 24th century. USS Baldwin captain Patrick Ingrum regularly sang Beatles songs to his daughter Tiana. Patrick's wife Bridget felt that "All You Need Is Love" was one of Tiana's favorites. (USS Baldwin: "Invisible Touch") Patrick would also sing "Here Comes the Sun" to Tiana as a lullaby. (USS Baldwin: "Reaction to Action, Part 1")

Another song, "Michelle" would be a source for Johnathan Bucyrus in naming the "Wild Roses." (USS Baldwin: "Wild Roses")
