I know it's just a copy of the MA article, but all of those superfluous details really aren't necessary, are they? --Sasoriza 11:33, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

That all depends on how this wiki is supposed to be set up. If we're a stand alone wiki, then we do need them. If we're just an extension of MA then we don't, just a link to the main article will do. --JusticeCEO 12:16, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Not really, when we have a link to the MA article. Technically we're a stand-alone wiki (with focus on fanon), but with an unofficial relationship to MA, since they concentrate on more of the canon info which we borrow as needed. But even there, that much detail isn't necessary, as a rule. Info in the article should focus on the subject of the article--the Constellation in this case--not every other little thing; for example, what the Enterprise party said and did. If someone wants to know all of that, they can watch the episode. --Sasoriza 21:59, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Additional material...

Does anyone who's in-the-know want to add material from Star Trek: New Voyages to this article? --TimPendragon 04:41, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

In In Harm's Way there's really very little different from that of the primary universe to do with the ship. The Constellation was still destroyed at the same time and under more-or-less the same circumstances however the only real difference is that the USS Farragut answered their distress call rather than the Enterprise. It might be enough for a footnote. --The NCC Factor Talk 16:34, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Second Constellation in My Enemy, My Ally

I should check the omnibus Rihannsu: The Bloodwing Voyages to see if Diane Duane still had NCC-1017 for the second Constellation. I know that she had done some revisions so that the novels are now firmly in the post-Star Trek: The Motion Picture period, but haven't read the revised versions. Confirmed: Still NCC-1017. RahadyanS 06:37, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
