I think this page should be moved to simply Modified Galaxy class since in different fan continuities it may have different names (my example being Hidden Frontier where they are called the Galaxy III-class and I'm pretty sure they're the same). --The NCC Factor Talk 16:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Proposed rename, again[]
Since the term "variant" could refer to anything from the upgrades the Enterprise-D got between TNG and Generations to the different cosmetic "skins" of Star Trek Online, and not just the three-nacelled design, I think we need to rename this page (again). Since every source agrees on the "dreadnought" classification, I propose we move this page to Galaxy class (dreadnought). Or else use a qualifier like (upgrade) or (refit).
