The Symbiosis Commission was a Trill organization which supervised the joining of Trills and symbionts, and helped to insure symbiont rights and welfare.

Star Trek: The Cantabrian ExpeditionsEdit

In 2373, some Commission team members, along with Aumil Killan, came to Deep Space 4 to investigate Tawana Jonar's joining to the Jonar symbiont, a joining not authorized by the Commission but undertaken in extenuating circumstances. After what Noel Turner labeled "a witch hunt", they found Jonar was capable of acting as a host despite not being fully Trill. ("Thicker Than Water")
