Steve Guaraldi

Lieutenant commander Steve Guraldi was the chief engineer of the USS Wildfire and long term boyfriend of USS Baldwin first officer Jaimie Petrelli. (USS Baldwin: "Family Affair")

Steve and Jaimie met in 2372 aboard the USS Renegade. By 2373, they had begun their relationship. During their initial relationship, Steve had fathered a child with Jaimie; however, neither he nor Jaimie discovered this fact until Jaimie discovered their son, Joshua, in 2378. Eventually, Steve was transferred to the USS Tecumseh by 2376, (USS Baldwin: "Boats to Build") and was later promoted to chief engineer of the USS Wildfire by 2378. He would regularly correspond with his counterpart on the USS Baldwin, Bridget Ingrum, before finally meeting her face to face in May of 2378. (USS Baldwin: "Family Affair")

Appearances

Jaimie mentions the fact that she had a boyfriend aboard Tecumseh in the USS Baldwin episode "Boats to Build," although his name is not mentioned. He would get a first name in "Mother and Child." In "Family Affair," Steve appears for the first time, and his last name is inferred via his sister.

Background

Steve's surname is a reference to composer Vince Guaraldi, who is most notable for his composition of numerous songs for various Charlie Brown specials.
