The Ninth Fleet was a numbered fleet in the United Federation of Planets Starfleet active during at least the 23rd and 24th centuries.
In January 2374, Federation President Rosarev -- in his role as Commander-in-Chief of Federation forces -- ordered the Seventh, Ninth and Tenth Fleets to the Spinward Theater of Operations. (Dominion War Timeline: "Early Dominion Victories: January-June 2374")
Captain Benjamin Sisko's plan to retake Deep Space 9 involved elements of the Ninth Fleet joining with elements of the Second and Fifth Fleets along with a contingent from the Klingon Defense Forces. When the fleet was forced to launch prematurely due to the imminent collapse of the minefield the Ninth Fleet was still a day away from the staging ground at Starbase 375. (DS9: "Favor the Bold")

The Ninth Fleet was also the nickname of those Starfleet International chapters based in Region 9 — Europe, except the United Kingdom and Ireland.
