The Eighth Fleet was a numbered fleet in the Federation Starfleet that was active during at least the 24th century. The fleet was one of many that participated in the Dominion War.

Prior to Operation Return the Eighth Fleet reinforced the Fifth Fleet along the Vulcan border. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Pressure Points")

The Eighth was commanded by Admiral Orben Sel during the conflict. For two-thirds of the war the fleet was assigned to the defence of Andoria. In the final third of the war the fleet was transferred to the front. (LUG RPG: The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
