Art Binninger produced three Star Trix fan films in 1974-75 with help from his friends in the Air Force’s Audio Visual Squadron, and a fourth (based on Star Trek: The Motion Picture) in 1979-84.
Style
The films use stop-motion animation of characters made from modelling clay. It was photographed on Super 8mm film.
The storylines involve parody versions of the original-series Enterprise and bridge crew.
Ships
USS Fulton's Folly, Klepton ship in Star Trix 2 (Klingon model), Vulcan shuttle, U.S.S. Wolfgang, Romulan warbird and the Yellow Submarine appear briefly in the Martian Rush Hour scene of Star Trix - The Flick.
