Rizac V was a Federation Penal Colony located in the Beta System. (Star Trek: Pioneer (STP))

In the 2370s, the Federation set up a penal colony on one of the moons in orbit of the gas giant Rizac.

In early 2379, the USS Pioneer transported Tyson Calok from Dinok to the Federation penal colony. ("Transfer")

On May 3, 2381, Okad Pahn operatives released the prisoners from the penal colony to create chaos to hide the So'ja Coalition battleship CWS Jak'gi's encroachment into Federation space on their way to Deep Space 5, resulting in the Battle of Deep Space Five, the first battle of the Coalition War.
