Lieutenant Rinja Ka'Dan is part of the Officer Exchange Program and assigned to the Federation starship USS Dauntless. (Star Trek: Dauntless)
Early life and career
Born in the First City of the Klingon Empire on Qo'noS, Ka'Dan was initiated into the warrior life typical of his race at a young age, participating in his first Age of Ascension at age 12, shortly before he entered the Imperial War Academy in 2379.
Officer Exchange Program
Upon graduation in 2382, Ka'Dan allowed his name to be submitted for the new Officer Exchange Program. He was among the first chosen by this new program to serve in the Federation Starfleet, assigned to the USS Dauntless, however without any form of indoctrination. This caused Ka'Dan considerable problems when his behavior was as if he were serving aboard a Klingon vessel, assaulting one shipmate and almost causing a war between the Federation and a previously unknown race called the Morain during a first contact situation.
Aboard USS Dauntless
Shortly after his arrival aboard the Dauntless, Ka'Dan has become the personal project of first officer K'danz and Security Chief Sean McIntyre. It took some time, understanding and indoctrination in Starfleet tradition and procedures, but Ka'Dan has become a valued member of the starship's security and tactical division.
