Rapid Attack and Destruction Class Fighters (RAaD) are small but powerful craft used in the Sentrath Imperium. (Star Trek: Pioneer (PNR): "Beyond The Final Frontier")

They are around 3 meters in length, constructed of a form of plasticized tritanium mesh, and use bioneural circuitry similar to that of an Intrepid-class vessel. The cockpit of the ship is made of a transparent glass sphere and holographic display. The pilot sits on a small interactive chair with shield and cloak controls on the left arm and communications control on the right. Directly in front of him/her are the disruptor cannons and torpedo controls. The ships are warp capable, but limited to around warp factor 2; however the drive is much more efficient since it is capable of generating a warp cube. ("Dark Reflection")

Before photomanipulation started to be used in PNR the original design was already quite similar to the fighters seen in Lost in Space. This was purely coincidental since the writer had at that point not seen the film.
