New York is a region of the North American continent on Earth, a state in the United States of America, and the location of New York City, Cooperstown and Camden City.

Jonathan Archer was born in upstate New York. (ENT: "North Star")

West Point Military Academy is also in New York State; Major Hayes was trained there as a MACO recruit. (ENT: "Hatchery")

In 2375, the city was attacked by the Breen due to it been a large population center. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
