New Vulcan is the official designation for a refugee colony founded in an alternate reality following the destruction of Vulcan by the Romulan known as Nero.
Following her graduation from Starfleet Academy, Ensign Kelsi Nielsen served on the colony's medical staff for a year, assisting Spock Prime in developing a medicine that has shown great promise in either slowing or stopping the onset of Bendii Syndrome. (A Flight to Remember)
