Tuition-protest

The protest of March 22nd, 2012 in downtown Montreal

Montreal (French: Montréal) was an Earth city.

Fan continuities Edit

RIS Bouteina Edit

Annika Hansen said that the behavior of players in World of Warcraft player-vs-player servers was worse than getting out of Highway 20 traffic jams in Montreal during the rush hours of the 2010s. Also, one of the characters in the holodeck program, portrayed by Putal, tried to apply at the University of Montreal. (RIS Bouteina: "We're All In This Together")

The topmost hockey team of this city, the Montreal Canadiens, was still extant in the 24th century. (RIS Bouteina: "Ultimate Wager")

Star Trek: The Stoneship Files Edit

In 2012, Montreal was the staging site of a massive protest regarding a tuition hike crisis, with 200,000 protesters, including Yvan Ung (real world) and Joanie Martineau, as well as Concordia University students. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Rode the 300")

Since the 17th century, Montreal had an inland seaport. A few hours before the March 22nd, 2012 mega-protest with 200,000 protesters, hundreds of university students bravely blocked the road accesses to the Port of Montreal. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "The Defector")

Star Trek: False VacuumEdit

The city was home to the Denis Coderre Municipal Music School, named after Denis Coderre, a mayor of the city in the 2010s.

Notable MontrealersEdit

BackgroundEdit

The writer of RIS Bouteina (and of Star Trek: The Stoneship Files also) is native to the Greater Montreal area, just like the namesake of the series (as well as the ship of the series, the RIS Bouteina) Bouteina Majd, lives in the Greater Montreal area as well. Likewise, the author is a fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
