Martia was a chameloid active in the 23rd and 24th centuries.

Her alter ego in the main universe was imprisoned in 2293 on the Klingon penal colony on Rura Penthe and met James T. Kirk and Leonard McCoy, before get killed. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

Alternate versionEdit

A Martia from an alternate reality of the mirror universe in which the Xindi won the Temporal Cold War and destroyed Earth and the Delphic Expanse dominates half the Milky Way Galaxy. She fled that reality and became a fugitive in "our" universe. At some point following the death of her main universe counterpoint she started a life as a spy, which was aided by her shape-changing abilities. (Star Trek: USS al-Qazwini)

Starfleet careerEdit

By 2275 Martia was enlisted in Starfleet and secretly working for Starfleet Intelligence. When she was promoted to the rank of captain, this was publicized as proof that Starfleet was not prejudiced against shapeshifters in general, only the Founders specifically. Less publicly, her assignment was to the USS al-Qazwini, a top-secret dreadnought.

Martia's patrons include ambassador Garth of Izar, admiral Leonard James Akaar, and admiral Thelin th'Valrass. Unknown to even them, she has her own secret schemes for the mission of the al-Qazwini.
