Leah Benson was the official Rabbi for Starfleet, hired prior to the launch of the Enterprise (NX-01) (In Between Days: The Light).

Early LifeEdit

Leah was born in 2116 (In Between Days:The Light).

She was hired to provide spiritual guidance to Jewish crew members, and was tasked with assisting Dr. Phlox so that he could be relieved from handling more minor emotional matters pertaining to Jewish crew members (In Between Days:Bread).

Leah was with Starfleet from an early time, about as long as Jonathan Archer (In Between Days:Bread).

Personal LifeEdit

She was a lesbian, and fell in love with Science Crewman Diana Jones, who she married (In Between Days:Bread).

Memorable QuotesEdit

"The Jewish people have often been a paradox. We refer to ourselves as the Chosen People, yet that seems to have created so much resentment over the millennia that we often wonder whether this being chosen business is at all positive. And we have been conquerors, and slaveholders, and annexers of territory. We have neither a monopoly on suffering, nor on causing it. Our hands are far from clean."
— (In Between Days:Bread)
