Captain Laumar Gotens fought in a small war the Federation was in, in 2234. Her crew was caught, downed on Flortarios III in a firefight with the enemy, when she was suddenly shot. She died when she returned to the her homeworld, Trill, but her Trill symbiont, Gotens, was saved and transferred to a new host: Rivera. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "The Links' Traitor")
