Keli "Kells" H'Lanna was a Caitian Starfleet cadet who served aboard the USS Daedalus as an science officer in the 2370s. (Star Trek: Daedalus)
[edit] Early life and Starfleet Academy
Keli H'Lanna started out life splitting time on her family's freighter, learning the Engineering trade first hand, and resting at her relatives' home on Cestus III. She was originally going to become a freelance engineering specialist until her talent in computer programming and data analysis caught the eye of a Starfleet officer. After failing her initial entrance exam, she tried again the following year and was able to enroll. Her primary studies were in first contact studies and Xeno-Computational Systems. H'Lanna served aboard the USS Daedalus on her mandatory internship on the request of former classmate Karen Copeland during her senior year of the Academy. Under Lieutenant Polera's wing, she was placed in rigorous study and training, almost resulting her to quit Starfleet in the first month of her internship. ("...Old Enemies")
After passing her final exams in late June 2376, she chose to resume duty on board the Daedalus as a commissioned science officer.
