Jonathan Peter Hofmann was a Starfleet engineer in the 24th century, and the father of Josh Hofmann. An admiral by the 2370s, he led the Starfleet Corps of Engineers well into the 2380s, and was a staunch supporter of Project Restoration and the mission of the USS Pendragon. Hofmann served aboard the USS Beachmont as chief engineer from 2342 to 2358, then accepted promotion to Captain and a post at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. While serving with Starfleet R&D at Utopia Planetia, Hofmann developed several starship concepts, including the Scandalon and the Pendragon-class projects.
