Jikra Lar (born Jikra Kalo) was a joined Trill female who served aboard the USS Daedalus as a junior science officer in the 2370s. (Star Trek: Daedalus)

Born on Trill in 2349, Jikra was driven to one day be joined with a symbiont. On her 18th birthday she tendered her application to the Trill Symbiosis Commission. After four years of hard work and determination she was finally approved and was joined with the Lar symbiont in 2371.

The joining had a profound effect on Jikra's personality as she assimilated six life time's worth of experiences. In order to find focus in her life she decided to apply to Starfleet Academy and was finally admitted in late 2371. During her time at the Academy, Jikra was squadmates with Cadets' Karen Copeland and Steven Rose and became very good friends with both, which thankfully lasted after their graduation from the Academy in late 2375.

In early 2376, Jikra, Rose and Copeland were all assigned to the Galaxy-class USS Daedalus, under the command of Captain Christopher Mackenzie. They were transported from Earth Station McKinley to the departing Daedalus aboard the shuttlecraft Icarus Lieutenant Joseph Tyler. ("Preceding Reputations")
