The main function of the super carrier was to support Dominion planetary assaults. This large vessel carried a large number of Jem'Hadar troops and equipment. The ships could also transport smaller vessel, such as the Jem'Hadar attack ship, to battle. This focus of transportation meant that the ship was poorly armed for a vessel of its size. This meant that the ship was almost always escorted by other Jem'Hadar warships.
The Dominion faced supply problems in the Dominion War that it had never faced before. A crucial problem was keeping its frontline soldiers supplied with ketracel-white. The Federation and Klingons prioritised these shipments and production facilities during the war. To deal with this the super carriers were refitted and also became mobile ketracel-white factories. That meant forces with a super carrier did not need to rely only on shipments from Cardassian territory to keep supplied. This allowed the Dominion to to operate in areas that were far from their supply lines. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Task Force 59")
The super carrier, C-4194, was part of a roving Dominion force that supplied a number of bases along the front in 2374. The group was destroyed by Starfleet Task Force 59. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Task Force 59")
During the Dominion's siege on Nthony C a Jem'Hadar super carrier orbited the world to supply the ground and space forces. It was destroyed during the Liberation of Nthony C. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "For the Federation")
