Jem'Hadar fighters (also referred to as attack ships or warbugs) are small attack fighters that form the bulk of the Dominion fleet.
These versatile and easy to build warships have also been known to perform the roles of patrol ships and scouts. The design has also found its way into the hands of privateers in the Alpha Quadrant. Because of their scarab-shaped design, they have been nicknamed "warbugs" by some Starfleet officers (USS Baldwin: "Determined Warrior" et. al.)
These ships have at least one holding cell for the detention of prisoners. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "To Seek and to be Found")
These fighters had a relatively poor weapons coverage to the aft quarter. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "The Front")
The Jem'Hadar were known to use these ships in kamikaze attacks against their enemies. (DS9: "The Jem'Hadar", "Tears of the Prophets"; Star Trek: Swiftfire: "The True"; USS Baldwin: "Wild Roses" et. al.)
Because of their relative ease of construction, Jem'Hadar type attack ships have been utilized by minor Alpha Quadrant parties after the Dominion War. Utilizing the knowledge he gained from his alliance with the Dominion, Khan was able to build his own fleet of attack ships. As of mid-2377, Khan had 60 ships on hand and was capable of building 3 per month (USS Baldwin: "Frontiers")
The USS Ottawa and USS Nimitz have also encountered Jem'Hadar fighters controlled by unknown parties. (USS Baldwin: "Backdoor") One such fighter made a kamikaze attack against the USS Hainan. (USS Baldwin: "Like the Rain")
