Irina Dana de Lesseps Gordon was a politician, negotiator and later academic of the 22nd and 23rd centuries.

Gordon was born in 2119 in Mogadishu, Somalia, to Liam Gordon and Maia Adiwoso de Lesseps.

At the age of 18, Gordon married her high school sweetheart, Allen Djaha, before she entered Harvard University. They were divorced five years later. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Irina")

Gordon graduated from Columbia University School of Law in 2145 and received a graduate degree in diplomatic psychology from Georgetown University years later.

As a member of the United Earth Parliament, c. 2160, she aided in negotiations with other powers such as the Vulcans and Andorians that led to the ratification of the United Federation of Planets. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Heritage"/"Irina")

In 2164, Gordon ran against Lydia Littlejohn in the United Earth Presidential elections, but lost. She turned down cabinet positions in both the United Earth and fledgling United Federation of Planets governments to become a professor at Georgetown.

After a shuttle accident at Jupiter Station killed a distant cousin and his wife in 2167, Irina Gordon adopted their infant daughter, Kristen. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Child of My Heart")

Gordon's memoir, Worlds Apart, Worlds Together, was widely read and was the basis of a holomedia series released on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Federation.
