The Indigo Order was a chivalric order of the Lyran Star Empire. However, unlike the regular decorations of the Lyran Starfleet, induction in the Indigo Order required multiple medal-worthy deeds of the inductee rather than one exceptional deed. Members of all branches of the Lyran Starfleet could be inducted into the Indigo Order, and were made knights upon induction.
Brianna Reiss was inducted into the Indigo Order after capturing Starbase 148 for the entirety of her career. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Attack on the Laboratory")
Several ranks of Indigo Order membership existed:
- Knight Grand Cross (KGCI)/Dame Grand Cross (DGCI)
- Knight Commander (KCI)/Dame Commander (DCI)
- Knight Companion (KI)/Dame Companion (DI)
Goursat was made a member of the Indigo Order for his role in resolving the teacher labor dispute on Peladine in 2402 and for his role in cleansing corruption in the Lyran duchy where Peladine lies.
