While the Hideki was often referred to as a fighter Cardassian Central Command technically considered it a fast attack ship. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 2: Starships of the Cardassian Union)
At least one Hideki-class ship (transcribed Hidekiy in the Star Trek: Sigils and Unions continuity) was involved in the Battle of Rondac III that began the Cardassian resistance movement. The pilot dropped out of warp mere kilometers away from a Breen warship, smashing through the ship's shields at .99c before it could autoevade, destroying both vessels. A number of ships of this type were also captured by the Thirteenth Order rebels and used as part of their strike force...a feat made possible because these ships can be operated by a crew of three even though a larger crew is optimal.
