While the Hideki was often referred to as a fighter Cardassian Central Command technically considered it a fast attack ship. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 2: Starships of the Cardassian Union)
Fifteen Hidekis were part of a second attack group against the Starfleet Fifth Fleet in Sector 432 in the early weeks of the Dominion War. Catching the Starfleet forces the Hidekis managed to destroy several Peregrine-class attack fighters before they could respond to the arrival of the enemy force. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "The Front")
The class saw action during the Battle of Guyra. Their speed and manoeuvrability at impulse were a major asset during the battle and allowed them to avoid the weapons' fire from the Guyra IV Moonbase. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Over the Horizon")
Five Hidekis were part of a small Cardassian force that was drawn to the Larkin system by a Federation task force as part of a distraction for a separate mission. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Moral Actions")
They were part of the fleet that Gul Dukat mobilised to intercept the Federation fleet during Operation Return. Two squadrons of these vessels broke formation and pursued after the Peregrine-class fighters that had been assaulting the Cardassian portion of the fleet. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels"; Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Rode the 600")
A pair of Hidekis led by a Norin-class light cruiser engaged the USS Swiftfire-A while it was making its way from the Tong Beak Nebula back to Federation territory. Both ships were destroyed by a massed torpedo attack by the Swiftfire's escorting shuttlecraft. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Change in Command")
A squadron of Hidekis were part of the Dominion fleet protecting Nthony C and were spread out patrolling the outer planets of the system. The entire squadron was destroyed during the battle. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "For the Federation")
At least one Hideki-class ship (transcribed Hidekiy in the Star Trek: Sigils and Unions continuity) was involved in the Battle of Rondac III that began the Cardassian resistance movement. The pilot dropped out of warp mere kilometers away from a Breen warship, smashing through the ship's shields at .99c before it could autoevade, destroying both vessels. (Star Trek: Sigils and Unions--The Thirteenth Order)
In late 2376, some supporters of Drevan and the True Way movement were able to gain control of two Hideki-class attack ships and mount an assault on the USS Scott near Juhraya. (Star Trek: Daedalus: "One True Way")
