Gita Sanura Divakuruni was a Starfleet line officer active in the 23rd century. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Pomp and Circumstantial Evidence")

Divakuruni was born in 2247 in the Serpent Swarm asteroid belt of the Alpha Centauri system.

In 2274, she began studies at the Starfleet Academy Command Staff school. Among her classmates were Alexander Rosenzweig (with whom she would have a brief fling years later), Janna Talmadge and Shrevas sh’Zanasethri. (Star Trek: Avenger: "Belonging"; Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Pomp and Circumstantial Evidence")

The Saladin-class destroyer USS Iblis, commanded by Captain Divakuruni, was assigned to the sector that includes the Beta Miranda system and Shadowstar Station in 2287. The Iblis was destroyed during the events of Operation Blackjack. For six years, a flight of perimeter action ships takes the Iblis ' place on patrol.

Years later, in 2293, the Soyuz-class tactical frigate USS Pandora, under Divakuruni's command, was assigned to supplement the perimeter action ships in Shadowstar's sector.

The Pandora was mysteriously lost with all hands in Triangle space in 2302.
