Wing was a Starfleet officer in the late 24th century. He served under Captain Aeris aboard the USS Xena. Not too long after, he was promoted to Captain and was put in command of the USS Bautista. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

History

In 2374, Wing confirmed the presence of the USS Phoenix during its ambush of Dominion ships in the Tiloniam system. ("The Tiloniam System", "The Tilonian System")

In the same year, just before a battle against a substantial amount of Second Maquis ships, Wing questioned, in passing, if they were capable of taking on the enemy. ("Cookies")

The following year, 2375, Wing was promoted to First officer of the USS Xena. While Captain Aeris was away, he used the ship to track down Gotens Seifer, who had accidentally taken the USS Defiant. He then returned to Deep Space 9 where he transported Gotens Seifer to the station's holding cells. ("Home, Part I")

In 2376, Wing was promoted to Captain and was in command of the USS Bautista. He took on Lieutenant commander Kugo as his Chief engineer, and Gewdeque, when the crew of the USS Phoenix-X were temporarily dispersed to separate postings throughout the Federation and IKS Bochnah. While in command, he practiced a continual, celebratory command style, which annoyed Kugo to no end. ("Experimentalism")
