Teaser[]

In the midst of war with the Mullurans, the Banshees find themselves without starfighters and with nothing but time to kill. But when their squadron is reactivated with all new equipment, they find a threat much more sinister than the Mullurans.

Chapters[]

A New Hope[]

The Banshees are still on vacation and bored because they don't have starfighters. Alex goes exploring around Starbase 901 and discovers that a brand new squadron of Banshee-class starfighters are sitting down in one of the unused hangar decks. She tells the others.

The Jelly Strikes[]

Lee Carter gets extremely worked up, storms into Captain Mallory's office, and demands that Banshee Squadron be reactivated now that they have starfighters again. The Smelly Jelly is influencing her actions. The Banshees spend the next few days cleaning up their old squad rooms. Meanwhile, the Jelly is growing.

Grease Monkey[]

Alex tries to deal with being assigned to do maintenance work on the starfighters. Max gives advice.

Ambush[]

The Banshees are on patrol in their new planes and come across a Mulluran fighter squad. They ambush the Mullurans. Sam is having serious problems with her fighter. Max barely manages to tow her back to Starbase 901. The Smelly Jelly had gotten into Sam's plane and had severely interfered with both the fighter's neural computer interface and Sam's cybernetic implants.

Answers[]

Jo discovers that the Smelly Jelly feeds on neural energy, and does not smell when sated. Meanwhile, the Jelly continues to grow.

The Battle of Rostella[]

The Mullurans attempt to retake the dilithium mines on Rostella IV, and the Banshees are part of the force sent to repel them. They destroy some of the the Mulluran landing craft, but Sam and Jo are shot down and crash on Rostella behind enemy lines.

Demolition Women[]

Sam and Jo destroy the surface-to-space gun emplacement that is causing trouble for the remaining Banshees still in orbit fighting the Mullurans.

Prisoners of War[]

After the battle, the Banshees discover that Smelly Jelly was present in every area where the fighting was the most senseless, violent and bloody.

The Green Menace[]

The Banshees realize that somehow the Smelly Jelly is responsible for a lot of the fighting, and possibly even the entire Mulluran War.

Epilogue[]

Back on the starbase, Carter dozes off and has visions of the past and future, and of a terrible enemy she has yet to meet.

Notes[]

  • As with the previous story, this episode is mostly just cobbled-together posts from the email rpg in which the Banshees played at the time. I added a few bits here and there to help tie things together better, and the Epilogue is entirely new material.
