Summary

The Enterprise-class battlecruiser USS Lexington is sent to investigate the disappearance of another Federation vessel and a possible new Romulan threat.

Background information

• The original version of the episode completed filming in mid-2008 but due to an hard drive crash, the production lost most of the stored footage.
• Enough data and footage has been recovered since to attempt a "Special Edition" release sometime in the near future. At the same time, Lexington's producers decided to remake a new version of this episode. "Fool's Paradise", originally second, and "The Mudd Puddle", originally third, were bumped up in the filming schedule to be the new pilot and second episodes, respectively.
