For the mirror universe counterpart, see Chandler Masterson (mirror).

Chandler (Chip) Masterson was a Tactical Ensign on the Enterprise, coming on board at the launch of the ship (In Between Days:Reversal). He then switched to Communications (In Between Days:Together) and stayed in that role for the remainder of his career.

History[]

Early Life[]

Chandler was born in 2129 (In Between Days:Reversal).

He attended Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island, receiving his degree in English. Along with Jennifer Crossman, Brooks Haynem, Aidan MacKenzie, Meredith Porter, Joshua Rosen, José Torres, Elizabeth Cutler, Judy Kelly and Michael Rostov, he was a part of a competition to develop an improved form of inertial dampers (In Between Days:Where No Gerbil Has Gone Before).

Starfleet[]

Chip was with the Enterprise from the very beginning. He initially worked in Tactical, often on the second or night shifts, but was not well placed and transferred to Communications (In Between Days:Reversal), (In Between Days:Together).

He roomed with Aidan MacKenzie from the beginning.

First temporal dislocation due to a Kovaalan particle wake[]

When the Enterprise was first sent back to 2037, Chandler pursued MACO Deborah Haddon. They married in 2038 (In Between Days:Entanglements, In Between Days:The Three of Us).

Second temporal dislocation due to a Kovaalan particle wake[]

During the second temporal displacement, Chandler and Deb got together a lot earlier, and married again (In Between Days:Everybody Knows This is Nowhere).

Personal Life[]

He was a known jokester and also ran Movie Night, holding a discussion afterwards that was usually only sparsely attended (In Between Days:Intolerance), (In Between Days:Together). He sometimes attempted to add more cultural fare, including Ingrid Bergman's The Seventh Seal and Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon to the rotation (In Between Days:Broken Seal), (In Between Days:Fortune), and occasionally dreamed of performing a stand-up routine.

Memorable Quotes[]

"So this Klingon, an Andorian and a Vulcan walk into a bar. And the Klingon's a male, super-tall. And he's completely buck naked, except for a strategically placed piece of string to which there's attached this note. So the bartender gets curious and he reads the note, which says ...""
