The USS Grolier was an Ambassador-class Federation starship in the late 24th century. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)
History[]
In 2373, a non-telepathic officer from the Grolier was able to see visions of how his pet died. His case would later be part of an essay. ("Ghosts of the Beyond")
In 2375, the Grolier was one of many ships disabled when confronting the Trozonian generational warship Gelomira in the Sol system. ("Bio Level 4")
Later, Corps Engineer Beck and Section 31 agent Karne used a Ferengi thought maker to control Captain Cassandra's will so that they could attempt an install Berlinghoff Rasmussen's Temporal displacement drive onto the ship. The Borg then attacked, stole Beck and the displacement drive, and destroyed the Grolier. Beck then traveled back in time, aboard the Delta Flyer, to that moment, in an attempt to change history, but failed in doing so-- The result being: the original displacement drive destroyed with the Grolier; and a duplicate displacement drive remained aboard a duplicate Delta Flyer. ("Displacement Syndrome")
